Narrandera Shire Council is pleased to share that a motion put forward by Cr Neville Kschenka, Mayor, at the 2025 Local Government NSW Conference has been passed.
The motion calls for fairer daily electricity supply charges for rural areas.
“Rural residents should not be paying disproportionately higher charges for an essential service,” Mayor Kschenka said.
Council will continue working with LGNSW and regional partners to advocate for a more balanced pricing system.
