Social Inclusion and Community Resilience
The Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO) is committed to fostering connected, inclusive, and resilient communities across our region. Through collaboration, advocacy, and investment in local initiatives, we support cultural diversity, strengthen community identity, and encourage active participation and volunteerism, ensuring all communities can thrive socially, culturally, and economically.
Building Inclusive and Resilient Communities
RAMJO works with member councils, community organisations, and government partners to:
- Support community-led initiatives that promote wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and strengthen social cohesion
- Advocate for sustainable resourcing of volunteering, social support services, and community resilience programs
- Promote the NSW Government Welcome Experience Program to attract and retain essential workers in regional communities
- Encourage investment in arts, culture, and heritage, including galleries, museums, and community events that reflect and strengthen local identity.
Strengthening Local Identity and Volunteerism
A strong sense of belonging and participation is critical to resilient communities. RAMJO member councils support:
