Housing and Infrastructure
RAMJO Housing Priorities
RAMJO support the delivery of diverse, affordable, and accessible housing across the RAMJO region to meet workforce needs,
enable population growth, and support community wellbeing particularly for essential workers, older residents, First Nations
communities, and vulnerable groups.
In order to achieve this RAMJO seeks to achieve the following actions:
Regional Housing Audit and Needs Identification
- Support councils to assess housing needs, supply constraints and land availability.
- Undertake a regional housing audit and needs identification to identify infrastructure shortfalls and support joint funding submissions.
Coordinated Advocacy for Housing Investment and Infrastructure
- Advocate to state and federal governments for investment in enabling infrastructure, affordable and social housing delivery,
and land activation—through joint submissions and strategic partnerships with Homes NSW, Crown Lands NSW, Local
Aboriginal Land Councils, and Community Housing Providers.
The RAMJO team works with its local member councils to identify key priority infrastructure requirements to advocate for opportunities for future funding to undertake these projects to build regional capacities and enhance the councils’ economic and social profiles.
Each of the RAMJO member councils have developed their key priorities and they are presented in the following prospectuses.
